Our professional groomers are Certified in not only grooming, but also Pet CPR and First Aid. Additionally, our groomers regularly attend seminars to advance skills, and compete in grooming competitions.

With so many options for pet grooming, we pride ourselves in safety being provided to all pets equally. Being located at Westhampton Beach Animal Hospital – with Friday grooming at our Peconic Bay Animal Hospital location – knowing that there are Veterinarians on staff daily provides comfort to many pet owners. This is a great advantage if a pet is elderly, has medical conditions, or may need gentle sedation to be handled safely.
Safety is of out utmost priority, so ensuring that all animals are up to date on their vaccines and wellness are necessary.

Making sure your cat is healthy before grooming is also very important to us. Many cats do not enjoy the grooming process, so we often also require Bloodwork so we can safely sedate your cat.

Bathing
Basic baths include a warm bath with aromatic shampoo and deep conditioning, and a nail trim and ear cleaning. Bath services are available 7 days per week. Add on services available such as nail dremeling are available.
Bath Pricing:
- Small Dogs (Under 20lb) – $25
- Medium Dogs (21-40lb) – $30
- Large Dogs (40-80lb) – $35
- Extra Large Dogs (80+lb) – $40
De-Shed Treatment
Is your pup shedding excess amounts? A de-shedding treatment may be needed! With all services provided in a basic bath, a de-shedding treatment also includes a Furminator Shed-less treatment, high velocity blow out, and full de-shed for your pooch. This is a great service for a twice a year treatment to breeds such as German Shepherds and Huskies.
De-Shed Pricing:
- Small – Medium Dogs (10-40lb) – $50
- Large Dogs (40-80lb) – $60+
- X-Large Dogs (80+) – $70+
Full Groom
A full groom includes all the services of a basic bath, and also include a full personalized and professional hair cut to the style of your choice. Hand stripping services are available on a limited basis with Meghann in our Riverhead location. Cat grooming is available on Wednesdays only with Meghann in our Westhampton Beach location.
Full Groom Pricing:
- Tiny Dogs (under 5lb) – $70+
- Small Dogs (5-20lb) – $80+
- Medium Dogs (21-40lb) – $90+

Meghann B.
A professional groomer since 2015, Meghanns specializes in ``Asian fusion`` styled grooms, and has a particular knack for Terrier breeds. Outside of grooming, Meghann shows in AKC shows with French Bulldogs and English Toy Spaniels. Her experience in showing allows her advanced skills of breed specific styling. Meghann has been with the hospital since 2017 and is Practice Manager of both locations, so limits her grooming to By Request Only.
Jenn B.
A professional groomer since 2015, Jenn joined our practice in 2018 as our clientele grew. Jenn was trained by Petco, and brings great knowledge of hand scissor trims to Sandy Paws. The talent doesn't stop there, as her handling skills are excellent at grooming difficult dogs (she is our dog whisperer). At home she has a French Bulldog named Asher who is the love of her life. We are thrilled to have Jenn as a member of our team!
Maegan W.
A professional groomer since 2015, Maegan joined our practice in the spring of 2020. Maegan worked as a bather before pursuing a grooming career, where she was trained in a private salon before grooming for Petco. Though she has no dogs at home, she is the mom to a Ferret and enjoys photography in her free time. Her cheerful demeanor at both hospital locations has us thrilled to showcase her talent as a member of our team.
